Tom Aspinall Questioned “Fight IQ” Of Michael Chandler, Latter Responds

UFC reigning heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, shared his honest opinion on the UFC lightweight and former Bellator lightweight champ, Michael Chandler which is not at all liked by the latter. Michael Chandler is on the worst MMA run of his career as in his last six fights he got win only in 1 which came against Tony Ferguson in 2022. His last fight against Paddy Pimblett didn’t go his way though Michael Chandler before the fight was called the toughest challenge for the Brit that doesn’t resonate in the fight as Paddy Pimblett dominated the battle and choked Chandler to won the fight.

Questioning the “Fight IQ” of the former UFC lightweight title challenger and analyzing his performance the reigning heavyweight champion said this in a YouTube video in which he was with Paddy Pimblett.

“It’s bad fight IQ. … It’s weird because he’s obviously a really fit guy, but if you do a sprint for five minutes, no one’s going to be fit, are they? He just goes out there, he throws from here, swinging, everything he does is picking up full blast.

Aspinall said

Tom Aspinall minced no words and further questioned the game plan Michael Chandler has whenever he fights in the cage.

“It’s mad for someone who has that many fights, I’m just surprised.”

He added

The words said by Tom Aspinall, found its way to the ears of Michael Chandler who criticized the heavyweight champ for chasing Jon Jones fight.

“Didn’t that big goober say this, like, three years ago?” Chandler wrote. “And then he waited as long for Jon as I did for Conor [McGregor] after he criticized me waiting for Conor? Cool.”

Tom Aspinall is going to fight Ciryl Gane with his heavyweight title on the line. It will be interesting to see who wins at UFC 321.
