Kashmir Hosting All India Police Football Championship

It is with great excitement and anticipation that Kashmir eagerly awaits the 71st All India Police Football Championship 2022-23. Scheduled to begin in Srinagar on March 11, this important event will bring together more than 30 police teams from outside J&K vying for top honors and demonstrating the spirit of friendly competition. In order to ensure a successful tournament, Additional Director General of Police Armed J&K SJM Gillani recently convened a meeting of officers at PHQ Conference Hall in Jammu to review the arrangements for this prominent occasion. With such careful preparations underway and a plethora of diverse teams eager to take part, surely all involved can look forward to a satisfyingly enjoyable championship.

At the meeting, the ADGP went through all the arrangements and preparations that had been made by different committees to ensure a successful event. The committee heads briefed the ADGP on their specific tasks, including transportation and lodging considerations, as well as any sightseeing activities that were planned. Furthermore, they discussed questions regarding the reception of teams and how liaison officers would be effectively deployed. Every detail was carefully considered to make sure each participating member felt comfortable and welcomed during their attendance at this important event.

During the meeting, the ADGP Armed J&K ensured that all preparations for the event were top-notch and managed to make sure that even the smallest detail has been taken care of. He issued appropriate instructions to each committee relevant to their area of responsibility and discussed arrangements for vehicles, making sure that a sufficient number is available for all participating teams. His acute attention was particularly visible when it came to details that could potentially derail the success of this event; his instructions clearly reflect the priority placed on having this venture roll out as smoothly as possible.

Kuldeep Handoo-DySP (Sports) held a briefing recently to explain the preparations put into play in order to ensure the success of the event. All necessary arrangements that would ensure smooth management were discussed, ranging from accommodation and transport services, security and medical provisions, catered meals for partakers, ceremonial protocols and other requirements necessary to facilitate an out-of-town crowd. Every component of what was needed was accounted for; it certainly sounds like they have left no stone unturned in their efforts.

The Jammu meeting was attended by an impressive list of officers from the Police, Sports establishments and other sectors. ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh, ADGP Hqrs. PHQ Manish Sinha, ADGP Railway J&K Sunil Kumar and many other high-ranking police officers were present at the meeting. Furthermore, DIG (Jammu-Kathua-Samba) Range Shakti Pathak, DIG Armed Jammu Nisha Nathyal-IPS and DIG Crime J&K Javid Iqbal Mattoo were among those who participated in the event. Representatives from other associated fields with this event also made it to the gathering, further increasing its importance. Thus making it a very successful meeting!
