The F1 Hungarian GP had some crazy events and a strong end, which made every F1 fan stand on their seat or get up on their feet because it was a pure eventful race. We saw Oscar Piastri, given his first pole by teammate Lando Norris, and Max Verstappen once again talked foolishly, which made his F1 car engineer shut him up for it after he was a 26-year-old child.
What Oscar Pisatri Said After His First Pole in Formula One?
“It’s very, very special,” This is really the day I dreamed of as a kid, standing on the top step of an F1 podium.
“Obviously a bit complicated at the end but I put myself in the right position at the start, and thank you to the team for an amazing effort, and amazing car.
“It’s a hell of a lot of fun racing for McLaren, so I can’t thank them enough for giving me the opportunity to be in F1, and to be able to win together 18 months in is an incredible feeling.”
“The longer you leave it, the more you get a bit nervous.
“But no, it was well-executed by the team and I think it was the right thing; I put myself in the right position at the start and with the different strategy we had – yes, my pace probably wasn’t as quick as I would have liked in my last stint, but I was still in the right position to make it happen, so well-executed from the team.
When asked about the McLaren F1 Car Performance, what did he say?
“I’m incredibly happy for the whole team – and nice to get my first one on the board.” “[The car is] a beast at the moment – it’s fast in every condition,” “I think today, we had it under control completely and an amazing feeling to just be able to manage the race like that with both cars and secure a one-two.
“I think we’ve proven this year that we can be quick in any circuit, any condition – we’re always there at the front. Spa’s not been the happiest of hunting grounds for us recently but I’m confident we’ll be strong.
“We’ve got a car that’s become a real all-rounder, so I’m super-confident and I think the rest of the team should be as well.”
Oscar Piastri Said in Post Match Interview
However, even though Oscar Piastri got the pole position in the Hungarian Grand Prix, it was more like a win by his teammate Lando Norris, who was 3 seconds ahead of him and could have finished the race quite easily. Still, he had to fall back because the team asked him to do it because they wanted Piastri to win his first win.
It was also the first time since the 2021 Monza race that McLaren finished 1-2 in the race, which they did in the Monza Race. At that time, Daniel Riccardo finished first and Lando Second. Another interesting fact about these two races is that even in that one, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had an accident.
Why Red Bull Racing Engineer Called Max Verstappen “Childish”
Max Verstappen has been going through a tough time in the past three races as he did not achieve a pole, and it was the first time after two seasons that he did not get a pole in three successive races and no podium in two races since July 2022.
Since the Miami race, McLaren cars have been amazingly fast, which is making Max Verstappen frustrated as he was not able to go past them with pace in the last race; he was so frustrated that he kept on complaining to his team and also told them they were making Sh****ty decisions. In the 63rd lap, when Max Verstappen tried to go ahead of Hamilton at the 13th turn of the track, they both had a lock-up in which the Red Bull car jumped because of its collision with Mercedes’s tire.
“I am not even going to get into a radio fight with the other teams, Max,” Max said.
“We’ll let the stewards do their thing. It’s childish on the radio, childish.”
It was an amazing race for the viewer. To read more about incidents, you can follow our websites. Also, write down the most eventful incident that you remember about Max Verstappen.
