British heavyweight Anthony Joshua had a rough fight against Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. His fellow Englishman brutally knocked him out in the fifth round of the boxing match. Post-fight, Anthony Joshua came out to release his statements on the loss. He thanked his fans for supporting him through thick and thin and told them that he was not done yet and would bounce back from his defeat stronger than before.
“We got to look at all the positives. That’s the mindset and the perspective that we have to have, a positive one always. Look at what we’ve achieved in the space of 11 years, it’s phenomenal. I want to thank every single one of you for riding with me, what a rollercoaster journey. But the only problem is, that it’s far from over. We’ve done it once, we’ve done it twice, doing it a third time hasn’t been easy but I believe it’s something I can achieve.”

The boxing match was dominated by the reigning IBF World Champion, Daniel Dubois, who didn’t let Joshua take control of the fight and started complete domination on the British heavyweight from Round 1, dropping him three times in the fight before knocking him out in the fifth round to retain his IBF heavyweight title. Veterans were backing Anthony Joshua coming into the fight as the former champion came into this fight after his impressive knockout win over Francis Ngannou earlier this year. Daniel Dubois certainly ended the hype but AJ isn’t willing to give up as of now, accepting his flaws during the fight and promised his supporters to make his comeback.
“Before I came here, I’m always saying I’m a fighter for life. We rolled the dice on success and we came up short. And we rolled it again you know what I mean? We keep rolling the dice…A lot of mistakes were mine, but that’s the game. As pi**ed off as I am, It is what it is.”
