AB de Villiers Wants Sarfaraz Khan In The Playing XI For The 2nd Test Match

Former South Africa's batter AB de Villiers wants to see Sarfaraz Khan in the second test match.

After getting his maiden test call from the Indian side, Sarfaraz Khan has been carrying a lot of hype on his shoulders, seeing his domestic record and his capability to score runs in red ball format. Former South African batter AB de Villiers, who was also Sarfaraz’s teammate when they were playing for the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, backed him to be included in the playing XI for the second test match against England, who defeated India in the first test match. Ab de Villiers uploaded a video on his YouTube channel in which he praised Sarfaraz Khan, hailed his domestic record, and was excited to see him donning the white jersey in the second test match.

“It’s just very exciting for me. His record in first-class cricket is quite outstanding, and if there’s a guy that deserves it, it’s certainly him. He has played 66 innings, 3912 runs, and an average of 69.85. 14 hundreds and 11 fifties, guys, that is not normal,”

There is still a battle for the number four position in the test match between Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar. Both players haven’t played a test match for India yet, and both players have an amazing domestic record. It would be interesting to see which player gets the chance to play in the second test match scheduled to start tomorrow at Vizag.

Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul are not going to be part of the team in the upcoming test match due to injuries they sustained in the first match. AB de Villiers, as the replacement of Ravindra Jadeja, backs Kuldeep Yadav by calling him an X-factor with the cricket ball.

“It can only be Kuldeep Yadav who doesn’t offer as much with the bat or field but he does have a lot of X-factor with the cricket ball in hand”
