India vs Pakistan clash on the cricket field is not just a game that the two countries’ players play, millions of cricket fans of both countries fill stadiums to see their favorite players on the field, there is no hidden fact that India vs Pakistan match not just attract cricket fans but brings a lot of money to the broadcasters and the organizers of the match and when such matches get delayed or canceled due to rain the loss would be born by them and cricket audience, that’s why for the first time in Asia Cup 2023, Asian Cricket Council has decided to have a reserve day for India vs Pakistan match which is scheduled for September 10th apart from the final match this is the only match for which reserve day is allowed.
India and Pakistan are going to face each other for the second time in this tournament today on September 10th, but there is a 90% chance that the match will be interrupted by rain, due to which the provision of Reserve Day has been introduced in case the match can’t be continued due to a heavy downpour. The match is going to happen in Colombo, and according to ESPNCricinfo and Najam Sethi, ACC talked to PCB about changing the venue from Colombo to Hambantota, which they agreed to, but later ACC informed PCB that the match would continue as scheduled with a reserve day in case of any spoiling play by rain.
“A reserve day has been incorporated for the Super11 Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India vs Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September 2023 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo,”.

If adverse weather suspends play during the India vs Pakistan game, the match will continue on 11th September 2023 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day.
