Leg-spinner Amit Mishra dropped truth bombs about Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s IPL feud and revealed that Gautam Gambhir actually took the initiative to put an end to the feud. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s on-field spat of IPL 2023 was one of the most controversial moments of the Indian Premier League. The two came face to face, and the players had to separate them to avoid further escalation. Gautam Gambhir was the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants back then, and the nucleus of the controversy was LSG’s player Naveen-ul-Haq, who was seen exchanging some words with Virat Kohli post-match and then Gautam Gambhir jumped in, and the infamous incident followed afterward.
The two bury the hatchet in IPL 2024 after shaking hands after an IPL match. Amit Mishra represented LSG under Gautam Gambhir, and recently, on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, he revealed that Gautam Gambhir was the first to end the feud and shake hands with Virat Kohli, while leg-spinner was hoping Virat Kohli should have taken the initiative to end this rivalry.
“I saw a good thing about Gautam. Virat Kohli didn’t go towards him, Gautam went towards him. He went and asked ‘How are you, how’s your family.’ So it was Gautam who ended the feud and not Kohli. So Gautam showed his big heart at that time. It should have been Kohli who should have gone and ended the feud. He should have gone and said ‘Gauti bhai, let’s end this,’

Amit Mishra further explained how Virat Kohli changed after becoming famous, but Rohit Sharma, remained the same despite achieving so much in cricket.
“I haven’t been part of the Indian team in years. Still when I meet Rohit during the IPL or any other event, he is always joking with me. I don’t need to think what he will think. I have seen Virat change a lot. We had almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, some people think that others are reaching out to them only for a purpose“
