Mike Tyson on Francis Ngannou Maintaining optimum fitness is essential to any sport if a player wants to be in the team, and that’s the standard set by the BCCI, the apex governing body of cricket in India through its YO-YO fitness test, which has to be cleared by the Indian players who are going to play in the international matches. Virat Kohli, who is unarguably one of the fittest athletes in the world and one of the most followed cricketers, recently posted the score he got in the Yo-Yo test on his Instagram account and got a lot of praise from his fans for that, but that didn’t go well with the BCCI as it gave a stern warning to the players for posting such information on social media.

Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause,”

BCCI official said, as quoted by Indian Express

Virat Kohli got a score of 17.2, which is above the qualification mark of 16.5 as the Indian management is conducting a fitness program in Bengaluru and those players who were available had already gone through the yo-yo test. Now the players who went to Ireland for the T20I series would be coming back to India, and ahead of the Asia Cup 2023, they need to be physically fit, due to which each and every selected player would go through the test.

India will begin its Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Pakistan on September 2nd, and as India is going to clash with the arch rivals in the World Cup as well, players need to be as fit as possible to perform during the game. As the World Cup 2023 is going to happen in India, it will be a bigger opportunity for Virat Kohli and other players to perform their best so that the ICC trophy could end.
