In the 3rd ODI match against the West Indies, India marked a massive win over the team in maroon, showing a dominant performance. Team Blue posted a total of 351 runs on the board, and while chasing the target, the West Indies team managed to reach only 151 runs. India won the match and the ODI series by 2-1, but during the post-match presentation, when the stand-in captain of the Indian team, Hardik Pandya, picked up the mic, he highlighted the negative side of playing in the West Indies and slammed the West Indies cricket board for poor management as the board lagged in providing even basic facilities to the visitors.

Hardik Pandya was leading the team for the second time in an ODI match, as in his first ODI as a captain, India suffered a defeat, and it was a tough situation for Hardik Pandya to prove himself as a viable captain in ODIs because if India had lost the match, it would have been India’s first ODI series loss in 17 years in the West Indies, but thanks to the Indian players, that didn’t happen and they comfortably clinch the series. During the post-match presentation, commentator Daren Ganga asked Hardik Pandya about the Brian Cricket Stadium in Tarouba. He replied by saying that he likes the venue but is disappointed with the management.

“This was one of the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened. I think it’s time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels… We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of. Other than that, really enjoyed coming here and playing some good cricket”
