ICC imposes fine on Harmanpreet Kaur after her misconduct during India(W) vs Bangladesh(W) 3rd ODI.
India (W) skipper Harmanpreet Kaur faces ICC fury after her behavior in the India (W) vs Bangladesh (W) match. Harmanpreet Kaur looked furious on Umpire’s decision when on-field umpires gave her out to show her disappointment she hit the wickets with her bat during the match and later during the post-match presentation she continued her rant on the umpires when both women teams’ skippers were on-field for the photo session, while sharing the ODI trophy she allegedly said to invite Umpires as well for the photoshoot as they helped Bangladesh tie the match which led to Bangladesh’s skipper Nigar Sultana and her team walk-out from the field.
India (W) were chasing the target of 226 runs during the 3rd and final ODI match of the series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, and due to some controversial LBW decisions of the umpires, India lost some wickets, due to which Harmanpreet Kaur blamed the umpires for the results of the match, as once India were 193/4 and were about to win the match but got all out for 225, and that’s what made the Indian skipper more disappointed with the decisions. Here’s what she said during the post-match presentation:
“A lot of learning from this game, even apart from cricket. The type of umpiring that was happening there, we were very surprised. Next time, when we will come to Bangladesh, we will make sure we have to deal with such umpiring and accordingly, will prepare ourselves,”

ICC imposed a fine on the Indian skipper by deducting her 75% match fees and adding 3 demerit points to her record. Her teammate and India (W) vice captain Smriti Mandhana came to the skipper’s defense and expressed his disappointment towards the umpiring decisions.
What happened in the middle is part and parcel of the game. We’ve seen these incidents so much when we see men’s cricket so I’m sure you know something like this happening in women’s cricket (is not unusual),”
