Shubman Gill to miss India vs Pakistan match in the ODI World Cup 2023

India’s start in the ICC World Cup 2023 was amazing as the host got victory in the match number 5 of the World Cup 2023, they beat Australia by 6 wickets and Indian fans saw some of the most memorable innings of Indian batters, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul took their team to victory in some fashion though Indian fans left delighted with the India’s victory the question of why Shubman Gill didn’t play in the opening match of India remained in their minds though there were some reports earlier that he got infected by the Dengue virus and would be missing the opener for India but now it is most likely that the Indian star would be missing the big match against Pakistan as well.

Team India batter Shubman Gill will not be travelling with the team to Delhi on 9th October 2023. The opening batter who missed the team’s first fixture in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia in Chennai is set to miss the team’s next fixture against Afghanistan in Delhi on the 11th of October.”

Shubman Gill was expected to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most runs in a calendar year, but now that is not looking practical as Shubman Gill has already missed one match and would miss the next match against Afghanistan, which is scheduled to happen on October 11th in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The concern is that now the chances of him playing in the big match against the arch-rivals Pakistan are not good, and it is most likely that the fans will see Indian batter Ishan Kishan on the field on October 14th at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
