After ending Day 4 on a dominating note by taking four wickets of the Indian team on the score of 58, England bowlers didn’t take much time to take the 5th wicket. Jofra Archer bowled at good length and troubled the already injured Rishabh Pant, and used the pace to break the defense of the wicket-keeper batter to send him back to the pavilion. India lost a batter early on Day 5, and that brought Ravindra Jadeja to the crease. He was the last hope of the Indian side, and Mohammed Siraj from the other end defended well to take his team beyond the tea break as India was 30 runs behind.
After the tea break, both partners chased down the chase to just 22 runs, but Shoaib Bashir’s flighted delivery, though defended by Siraj well, found its way to the stumps as India were bowled out for 170 runs.
