The much-awaited squad announcement of Team India for the Cricket T20I World Cup has been released, and there are a few surprises in the squad. The first surprise for the fans is that Hardik Pandya is in the squad and will do Vice-Captaincy, while Rohit Sharma will lead the team. This might be his last chance to get the World Cup trophy because, after that, the Indians will look for another captain, which might be Rishabh Pant.

Right and Wrong Choices of Indian Selectors for the ICC T20 World Cup
Rishabh Pant: Most of the players had already secured their places in the squad, but there were few doubts about Rishabh Pant, who made an amazing comeback in the IPL. Now, he has scored 398 runs in 11 matches with an average of 44.22. He clearly stated that he is ready to play at the highest level of cricket and that it will be crucial, but his record has not been great in the International T20I. He averages 22.43 with a strike rate of 126.37 which is not really good for a batter who will come fifth down.
KL Rahul: He should be included in the squad of 15 because Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are not promising players in the T20I matches, which might go against the Selectors. KL Rahul is in way better form than those two in the T20I, and he should be in the 15 as his average is 37.75 and he has more experience.
Mohammed Siraj: He should not be in the playing 11 because he gives away too many runs and is not a clever baller, which has always been his weakness. He never proved himself in the T20I, and India should have taken Mayank Yadav with them as a baller because he is way better than Siraj.
The pace bowling unit of the Indian team is looking quite weak as they don’t have Mohammed Shami, this team who single-handedly helped Team India reach the final of the World Cup. Sanju Samson needs to step up this time because he is not able to justify the chances he got in the previous years by the India team.
