Indian Cricket Team “Victory Parade”| Where To Watch| What Are The Timings| Everything You Need To Know

The Indian team will celebrate their victory with the Indian fans, as a special victory parade will be arranged for the champions in Mumbai.

India remained unbeaten in the recently concluded T20 World Cup and lifted the trophy for the second time. Rohit Sharma‘s side defeated South Africa in the finals by 7 runs to become World Champions. Today, the T20 World Cup 2024 champions have arrived in India, and a special welcome ceremony has been arranged for the champion team and supporting staff in Mumbai, India. Prior to that, they will be felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a private ceremony in New Delhi. The Indian squad was supposed to leave earlier, but the departure from Barbados was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl. A Special Air India charter flight was arranged after that for the Indian crew, and they safely landed at IGI Airport, New Delhi, at 6:20 AM today.

After meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the crew will take a flight to Mumbai to reach the National Centre for Performing Arts(NCPA). From there, an open bus parade will start, going all the way from the NCPA to Wankhede Stadium.

Fans can watch the live telecast of the team India’s victory parade at Star Sports Network. Star Sports will also do a live telecast of the ceremony on its YouTube channel so the fans can watch the same on YouTube or on the BCCI.TV.

Mumbai Police Advisory For The Public

“In view of Victory Rally of Indian Cricket team, the traffic movements are likely to be congested from NCPA to Wankhede stadium from 15:00 to 21:00 hrs on 4th July. Users are advised to use alternate route via Churchgate, M.K. road, Metro Junction to Princess Street flyover towards north bound journey. The South bound traffic towards Wankhede Stadium also likely to be congested. Requested to plan journey accordingly,” 

Mumbai Police said.
