The moment all Indian cricket fans were waiting for has finally come as the Indian squad for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 has been announced to everyone’s surprise there is almost no change in the Indian squad selected for the Asia Cup 2023 and the squad announced as the Indian players who are currently playing in the Asia Cup would be seen in the ODI world cup as well apart from Sanju Samson who was selected in the Asia Cup as a stand by player, Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna. Ravichandran Ashwin is again not included and India will be heading forward with only one full-time spinner and that is Kuldeep Yadav apart from him Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel will be handling the spin attack for India in the CWC.
India is currently playing in the Asia Cup 2023 and has already qualified for the Super 4 stage where they will be seen clashing with the arch-rivals Pakistan for the second time in the Asia Cup 2023 earlier when they met on 2nd September the match was abandoned due to the incessant rainfall both teams were awarded one point each, now they will be meeting on 10th September and every cricket fan would be hoping that this time rain doesn’t ruin the match.
So far KL Rahul hasn’t played any match in the Asia Cup but it is expected that the right-handed batter would return to the crease against Pakistan. He sustained an injury while fielding in an IPL 2023 match and since then he couldn’t able to recover fully in fact he got a “niggle” before the Asia Cup 2023 and didn’t play any matches but it is highly expected that he would return in the match against Pakistan.
