Childhood and Early life of Ishan Kishan:
Ishan Kishan was born on July 18, 1998, in Patna, Bihar, to Pranav Kumar Pandey (his father) and Suchitra Singh (his mother). He lived in Patna till 2013, but due to issues with the BCCI and Bihar Cricket Association, he moved to Jharkhand for better opportunities. His father is a builder by profession, and his mother is a homemaker. His early education happened in Bihar at Delhi Public School, and later he did his graduation from the College of Commerce, while he was building his cricket career.

Domestic Cricket:
After shifting to Jharkhand the young cricketer started playing for the state and during 2016-17 Ranji trophy he scored a record 273 runs in a match against Delhi which is still a record score of a Jharkhand’s batter against any team it was during Jharkhand’s match against Saurashtra where even after seeing his players collapsing in front of bowling attack of Saurashtra he scored 87 runs where his whole team collapsed after making just 168 runs and due to his exceptional performance with bat Rahul Dravid gave him a spot in the U-19 Indian team and he led the Indian team in the U-19 World Cup 2016 where he had a good campaign as a captain and Indian team reached to the final of that tournament sadly they couldn’t win the title and lost to West Indies.
IPL Career:
Without doing any delay, Gujarat Lions, now a defunct IPL franchise, inducted this left-handed player in the team in 2017, and he played the IPL that year, ending his IPL year with 277 runs in 11 matches he played. Later, he was bought by Mumbai Indians in 2018. He showed his capability of scoring quick runs when he hit a 17-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders that year. He had a decent but not that effective year, but Mumbai Indians retained him in 2019 as well, but he didn’t impress that much. In 2020, he came out as the highest run scorer on the Mumbai Indians team.
International Career:
Ishan Kishan was named in the Indian team in 2021 when he got the opportunity to play for the Indian team against England, and on March 20, 2021, he scored his maiden T20I fifty in 32 balls. In June 2021, he was also selected for the tour of Sri Lanka and made his debut against Sri Lanka, scoring his maiden ODI fifty in his debut match. It was in December 2022 that he scored his maiden double hundred in ODI matches while playing against Bangladesh, and he also became the first batter to turn his maiden ODI ton into a double hundred. He scored 210 runs in 131 balls.
