TSK vs LAKR: Texas Super Kings are back to winning ways after defeating LA Knight Riders by 52 runs in the match 15th of the Major League Cricket.
LAKR won the toss and decided to bowl first. Smith Patel and Faf du Plessis started well by going all-out from the first over, but in the 2nd over, Faf du Plessis got out, and then LAKR bowlers dismissed Saiteja Mukkamalla and Marcus Stoinis after that. TSK was in deep trouble after losing the top 3 batters. Then Shubham Ranjane came to the crease, and once he got his eyes on the ball, he started scoring runs. Donovan Ferreira scored 43 runs in 21 balls to help his team score 196 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Chasing the target of 197 runs, Unmukt Chand and Alex Hales started the chase, and Akeal Hosein dismissed the latter in the 2nd over, and then in the next delivery, he dismissed Nitish Kumar on a duck. Batters afterward failed to get runs quickly, and the LAKR bowler kept the pressure on, which led to the fall of wickets. LAKR batters couldn’t reach the target and fell short by 52 runs as TSK registered their 4th victory in the league.

MLC, 2025, Match 15th: TSK vs LAKR| Captains’ Corner
I tried everything. I can claim that I call on the future South Africa Test Captain to just come and toss [laughter]. So, look out for the next Texas Captain coming from the top. [Par score] I felt this wicket wasn’t the same as the first couple of games we played on it. It was a little bit slow, a little bit lower, so we were thinking 180 was probably a good score. But that’s the nature of it if you’ve got some power at the back end. So well done to the two boys at the back of the way that they played. The game has moved quickly, and obviously, this field I feel is a really good pitch, as you’ve seen over the two previous games that we played here. Previous game batted really well, getting 220, and you feel like you’ve squeezed every run possible out there.
Faf du Plessis(TSK Captain) said post-match
I don’t think it was anything different from what we’ve been asking the entire season. We just lost two early wickets in the Powerplay. We never got going in the Powerplay it was hard to just get that momentum going into the middle stage. And we never had enough. We had too much to get in the back end. Look, we just got to be a little bit smarter. A few things haven’t gone our way as well, too. We just need a little momentum at the top.
