Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the finals of the IPL 2025 after defeating the table toppers Punjab Kings in the Qualifier 1 of the tournament. RCB, under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, dominated several teams, and the pressure of leading a franchise like RCB, which has big names like Virat Kohli, was not an easy task, but the right-handed batter led the team from the front and gave the results fans were expecting from him. In the Qualifier 1 of the tournament at an away game, RCB didn’t just win. They dominated the arena with an all-round performance and stormed into the final.

After reaching the final of tournament, Rajat Patidar as a captain etched his name in the IPL books by becoming the 5th Indian cricketer to lead a franchise into the finals of the IPL in his debut year of captaincy with his new achievement he joined players like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Anil Kumble. MS Dhoni lead CSK in 2008 IPL final and Anil Kumble lead RCB in 2009 IPL final after that Rohit Sharma lead Mumbai Indians into 2013 final and won the title for his team. Hardik Pandya in 2022 won the title for Gujarat Titans.

Before Rajat Patidar, RCB reached the finals 4 times since 2008 but failed to get their hands on the title. Now, they have another opportunity to lift their maiden title, but would they be able to do it or fail one more time to remain trophyless would be exciting to see when they meet the winners of Qualifier 2 in the finals of the IPL 2025 at Narendra Modi Stadium on June 3, 2025.

If RCB wins its first title under Rajat Patidar’s captaincy, he will become a fan favorite and receive the deserved love of his fans.
