At MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, India, after getting early shocks on Day 1, recovered well courtesy of local boy Ravichandran Ashwin and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Both players dealt with the pressure well, where the former scored his century, and the latter supported him and scored his fifty to take India to the score of 339/6 at the end of Day 1.
India bowled Bangladesh out for 149 in the second innings to take the lead and then gave the visitors a massive target of 515 runs.
