Sanju Samson, in 2007, became a part of Kerala’s U-13 team, and in the Interstate U-13 tournament that year, he was rewarded as player of the tournament because of his exceptional batting performance. Sanju started his domestic career playing for Kerala in 2009–2010 in the Ranji Trophy; he was only 14 at that time and also became the youngest cricketer to be included in Kerala’s Ranji Trophy squad. In March 2022, when the IPL season 15 started and Rajasthan Royals included Yuzvendra Chahal in the squad, the humour of the Rajasthan Royals Twitter admin crossed the comedic line and posted an edited image of Sanju Samson, which wasn’t liked by him, Sanju Samson tweeted that “It’s ok for friends to do all this, but teams should be professional.” Later on, team management asked for an apology from Sanju Samson and humorously ended the controversy by posting a fake audition video of a new admin.
