“I will play for India if almighty wants” Sarfaraz Khan after getting married in Kashmir.

Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan recently married a Kashmiri girl in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. His wedding photos and videos are going viral across social media. Cricketers from around the world congratulated the couple and wished them good luck for their new beginning. Sarfaraz Khan, after his marriage, talked to a local outlet and thanked the people of Shopian for their hospitality. Adding to that, when the interviewer asked him about his chances of playing for India and why, even after scoring great runs in domestic cricket, he is yet to be selected in the Indian squad for the matches, the right-handed batter gave a subtle answer to the question by saying that “if almighty has wished him to play India, then he definitely will, like he wished for the wedding to happen in Kashmir”.

Sarfaraz Khan, who has a tremendous record in domestic cricket,  scored 556 runs in six games at an average of 92.66 in the Ranji Trophy (2022–23), with three centuries. The right-handed batter scored 982 runs with an average of 122.75 in the Ranji Trophy (2022–22). Even after being in such splendid form, he has been ignored by selectors for red-ball cricket, due to which they also faced heavy criticism when they announced the Indian squad for the test cricket matches against the West Indies, where he was once again ignored.

In the IPL, Sarfaraz Khan is playing for Delhi Capitals and is still struggling with his form in the limited overs format. He also played for RCB for some seasons and showed his caliber to score quick runs, though he was backed by several Indian ex-cricketers who questioned the decision to not select him for the test series so far. He has scored 3559 runs in 39 matches at an average of 74.14.
