India’s left-handed batter Shikhar Dhawan recently revealed his experience in facing the heat of the India vs Pakistan matches and how a phrase constantly reminded to them by the public that “whether or not you win the world cup, don’t lose to Pakistan”. Shikhar Dhawan will most likely not the part of Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 tournament but he will be seen on the event as a broadcaster representing Star Sports the promo video where he revealed that was later deleted by Star Sports. In that video he talked about the upcoming India vs Pakistan Asia Cup match as the rivals will clash on 2nd September at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka.
In the video, Shikhar Dhawan while revealing his experience in the India vs Pakistan matches said.
It has always been the case of ‘Whether or not you win the World Cup, don’t lose to Pakistan’ (laughs). But winning the World Cup is also important and by god’s grace hopefully we will. There’s definitely excitement (while playing Pakistan) but also a lot of pressure. There’s definitely a satisfying feeling playing against them when the match ends. Whenever I have played Pakistan, we have won mostly. The intensity on the field is also high, but there’s also some light chat with them.
Shikhar Dhawan said,
India last faced Pakistan in 2022 during ICC T20 World Cup where India registered a victory in a stunning fashion.
