India, in match number 12 of the World Cup 2023, defeated the arch-rivals Pakistan in stunning fashion as India dominated them in both departments, whether bowling or batting. India dominated them in every aspect to register their third victory in the 2023 World Cup. Shaheen Shah Afridi is undoubtedly one of the finest bowlers on Pakistan’s side, but he looked off during the India-Pakistan clash as he struggled to trouble Indian batters with the new ball like he usually does. Though Afridi picked up two wickets in the match, one of them was of the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. He was easily countered by the Indian batters to easily reach the target.
Former India’s skipper Sunil Gavaskar was honest in his take on the Pakistan’s bowler and said that even though he is a decent bowler, there is nothing special about him.

India won the match without facing any trouble, though they lost three wickets while chasing the target of 192 runs. There were hardly any turning points in the match when India was chasing. Rohit Sharma missed his second century in the World Cup 2023 as the right-handed batter got out on 86 runs, but before getting out, he ensured India’s victory, and Shreyas Iyer finished the match with a boundary, hitting his first fifty in the World Cup 2023.
