Namboori Thakur Tilak Varma was born on November 8, 2002, in Hyderabad, Telangana (formerly part of Andhra Pradesh), to Nagaraju Varma (his father) and Gayatri Devi (his mother). His father worked as an electrician, and his mother was a homemaker. When Tilak was 10, he started playing cricket and fell in love with it.
