Fast Bowlers, or Speedsters, as per their t, have the strength to bowl the cricket ball with sheer pace. There were some world-class bowlers who, with their deadly pace, not just destroyed stumps but players’ ribs, too. India, where cricket is celebrated like a festival, has also produced some world-class bowlers, but there are only a few that surpassed the ordinary standards of Indian pace bowling and surprised everyone with their intense pace. Umran Malik and Mayank Yadav are two of the fastest Indian bowlers who can bowl consistently above 150. In fact, the chart of the top 5 fastest deliveries bowled by the Indian bowlers is dominated by these two names.
| Bowler | Fastest ball | Against | Year |
| Umran Malik | 157kph | Delhi | 2022 |
| Mayank Yadav | 156.7kph | Bengaluru | 2024 |
| Umran Malik | 156kph | Delhi | 2022 |
| Umran Malik | 156kph | Sri Lanka | 2023 |
| Mayank Yadav | 155.8kph | Punjab | 2024 |
Umran Malik

India’s speedster Umran Malik rose to stardom in Indian cricket in 2022 when he was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Umran Malik bowled the cricket ball like a bullet released from his hand, though he showed a glimpse of his fast hands during IPL 2021 when he bowled a delivery of 152.95 kph. His sheer right-arm pace made even the great batters struggle on the pitch. During an IPL 2022 match against Delhi Capitals, he broke the record for the fastest delivery bowled by an Indian bowler. He clocked 157kph that season and picked 22 wickets during that season. He was rewarded with an Emerging Player of the Season award for his exceptional performance. However, his International career wasn’t as impressive as his domestic league one as he kept getting injured and remained out from the playing 11.
Mayank Yadav

India found another bowling superstar during the Indian Premier League 2024. A boy from Delhi who was inducted by Lucknow Super Giants in their team in 2024 shocked everyone with his impressive smooth action and lethal pace. During the match against Punjab Kings, Mayank Yadav made his debut and impressed every cricket fan with his raw pace, complimenting that with his perfect line and length. He picked three wickets in his debut IPL match and helped his team to win the match. During that game, he clocked 150+kph several times, and in the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he clocked 156.7 kph, one of the fastest deliveries ever bowled by an Indian bowler.
