“Rohit Sharma Knew Where To Hit” Haris Rauf: Wasim Akram After India-Pakistan Clash

Wasim Akram on Haris Rauf

Former Pakistan’s ace pacer Wasim Akram was not happy with the bowling performance of Pakistan’s team against India in the World Cup 2023 match. The bowling attack of Pakistan’s team clearly lacked the shine it has been known for, and India’s skipper Rohit Sharma took full advantage of that, though he missed a deserving hundred against the arch-rivals as he got out on 86. But before getting out, he ensured that India would take the win. Eventually, India went on to win the match, defeating Pakistan by seven wickets.

Wasim Akram slammed the bowling attack of Pakistan, especially the ace pacer Haris Rauf, who failed to trap Indian batters in his pace. His pace was crushed by Rohit Sharma easily as he hit him out of the park several times. Wasim Akram shared his opinion on Pakistan’s bowler.

“There’s an attitude about a bowler. Talking about Haris Rauf, and nothing against him as he’s been Pakistan’s main bowler. I think that he will only pick wickets when batters go after him. I’ve never seen him swing the ball and pick wickets like Bumrah did today. He has pace but he has to improve his length for one-day cricket,

Akram said

Praising Rohit Sharma’s skills and ability to read Haris Rauf, he said this:

Rauf was not bowling bouncers to Rohit. You need to hit proper bouncers so that Rohit would have pulled, got a leading edge and would have got caught at fine leg or square leg. Rauf was bowling at his waist height and knew where to send the ball.

Wasim Akram added

India will be facing Bangladesh in their next match on October 19th at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, and will try to continue their unbeaten run in the World Cup 2023.
