David De Gea confirmed his exit after Man United not give an extended contract

David De Gea is set to leave Manchester United after playing for 12 years and winning most of every major trophy except UCL.

David De Gea said goodbye to his club Manchester United after not receiving an extended contract. It is quite funny that his contract ended on his wedding day.

Erik Ten Haq doesn’t want De Gea in his future project at Manchester United as he is looking to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan, who worked with Ten Haq in the Ajax team but the transfer war is still going on as United bid for around 51 million euros in their third attempt to sign the talented goalkeeper.

De Gea played for 12 years in a Manchester United shirt and has been their first-choice goalkeeper. He is 32 years old now but still very fit to play for any big clubs, and there is quite a chance that he can go for Chelsea FC, who are looking for a 2nd goalkeeper as Mendy left the club for Saudi Arabian Club.

David De Gea joined Manchester United in June 2011. He has made 545 appearances for the club and has kept 190 clean sheets. He has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League with Manchester United. However, since 2012 Man United has failed to win Premier League Title, and the last time they won a major trophy was in the 2016/2017 season, in which they won the UEFA Europa League under Jose Mourinho’s management against Ajax by 2-0.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with United was terminated last season, De Gea took over as the team’s highest-paid player, and it was immediately apparent that he was no longer performing well enough to earn the £375,000-per-week salary. He earned around 19.5 million euros last season just by his weekly wages, which clearly shows why Man United wanted to get rid of him and why they not given an extended contract to him.

He has been one of the greatest goalkeepers of the all-time in the premier league, but recently his few important match blunder mistakes made the club not go for another year with him.
