Arsenal’s new record signing, Declan Rice, justified his price tag as he scored an amazing goal against Manchester United in the extra time to give his club 3 points in the table. It was an amazing match and one of the best matches of the new season of the Premier League as Arsenal won the match 3-1 against Manchester United.
The match started off quite well, but in the 14th minute of the match, Arsenal’s other new signing, Kai Havertz, missed an easy free shot from the eight-yard to give Arsenal a lead, which was now going to create some concern for Arteta because Arsenal paid 75 million euros which is the 2nd most expensive signing for Arsenal. Manchester United did not miss their chance as Rashford scored the goal to open the scoring in the match.
Arsenal did not take long to reply as Martin Odegaard fired an amazing low shot at the bottom right corner to level the score of the match. In the 60th minute, a penalty was denied by the VAR decision, which could have given Arsenal a lead at that point in time. In the 67th minute, Manchester United’s new signing Rasmus Hojlund at last made his debut from the bench, replacing Anthony Martial, and from the Arsenal dugout, Gabriel Jesus came from the bench after a long time.
In the 89th minute, all Manchester United fans got up on their feet as everyone thought Garnacho scored, but VAR denied after calling off an offside. As the match went to extra time, everyone thought it was going to be a 1-1 draw, but then came the star signing of Arsenal, Declan Rice, with an amazing low shot in the penalty area, which slightly deflected from Evans’s foot and turned into Arsenal goal and gave them lead in the 96+ minute, but it was not done yet for Arsenal as Man United went full attack but soon Arsenal latched on a counter-attack and then Gabriel Jesus scored a 3rd goal for the club with amazing composure.
The match was an amazing one, but it was Arsenal who held their nervous better and won the match in the closing minute of the game, which clearly showed the intent Arsenal has this season as they will fight for the title which they lost last season in the end phase of the tournament.
