When Inter Miami expressed their interest in signing Alba, he did not hesitate to accept their offer. He agreed to a three-year contract worth $15 million per season, making him one of the highest-paid defenders in the world. He also waived his loyalty bonus from Barcelona, which amounted to $10 million.
Alba arrived in Miami last week, and Messi greeted him at the airport. The two hugged and smiled, happy to be reunited after a year apart. They then headed to the Inter Miami stadium, where they were presented to the fans and the media.
