Tottenham Hotspur Singed Radu Dragusin For About £26m From Genoa

Bayern Munich failed to sign Radu Dragusin as Tottenham Hotspur signed him for about £26 Million Euros to complete their 2nd january signing.

The Genoa Central Back Defender Radu Dragusin penned down an amazing £26m deal for Tottenham Hotspur, who are desperate to sign new players as their defense has been the problem for them.

They also signed Chelsea flop striker Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig just a few days ago due to the absence of Son Heung-Min and Richarlison form. Tottenham is having trouble with the defending as right now they are standing at 5th in the table after playing 20 league matches with 12 wins and 5 losses. The goal scoring is not an issue for them, but they conceded the most number of goals in the top 5 teams in the table, which is why Ange Postecoglou was in a hurry to sign Radu.

Bayern Munich was also pursuing him to sign in the winter, but Hotspur bid higher, which lured Dragusin and Genoa to sell him to them. However, Dragusin can also play as a right-back for the Spurs and is one of the attacking fullbacks who can give assistance to the strikers or right-wingers.

Radu played 62 matches for the Genoa team and scored 6 goals for them, but his tackling skills are also amazing, which is why Tottenham went for him, as they want someone who can defend better. He is just 21 years old, so there is a lot of room to improve. He might be one of the great signings for the West London side as they are going to face Manchester United on January 14, 2024.

Tottenham Hotspur is fighting to finish in the Top four to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. The last time they finished in the Top Four was in the 2021/22 season. In the 2022/23 season of the UEFA Champions League, they were knocked out in Round 16 by Milan.
