Tottenham Hunt for Director and Manager: Spurs Push to Secure New Recruits Before 2021/22 Season

Tottenham Hotspur are on the hunt for a new director of football and manager, with Thomas Frank from Brentford being admired by chairman Daniel Levy.--

Tottenham Hunt are said to be focusing their efforts on filling the director of football role at the club before they appoint a new manager.

On Sunday, Football Insider reported that Spurs plan to recruit a new director of football in order to fill the vacancy left by Fabio Paratici’s departure due to his involvement in Juventus’ financial scandal.

This has left chairman Daniel Levy pushing to appoint a new director before the end of the season. Reports from talk SPORT on Monday suggest that Brentford boss Thomas Frank is a potential target for Spurs and that the Bees are bracing themselves for possible interest from the North London club.

Frank, who led Brentford to promotion last season, is said to be admired by Levy and could provide the experience needed in a director of football role as they look to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The news comes after Tottenham ruled out Julian Nagelsmann as a candidate to take over from Jose Mourinho at the helm. The current Hoffenheim boss has been linked with the job, but has been deemed too inexperienced for Spurs’ current project.

Spurs now have a tall task ahead of them as they look to appoint both a director and manager in quick succession. With the season almost over and only a few months before transfer window opens, it is expected that Levy will move quickly to secure their desired candidates.

The news of Spurs’ recruitment drive has been met with mixed reactions from fans, but it is clear that Levy is determined to find the right people for the job and will hope his efforts pay off in the long run. With a new director and manager in place, Tottenham could be looking to make some big changes this summer.
