Former UFC two-division champion and one of the coaches of the current The Ultimate Fighter season (TUF 31), Conor McGregor, has recently made a big claim on Michael Chandler, who is the opposition coach in TUF 31. The two are supposed to fight this year, but it is still not official whether they are going to face each other in the octagon or not. From Conor McGregor‘s side, he thinks that there are chances that they will not fight in the cage as there are other potential fighters out there who UFC can book for him, and most probably that fighter would be recently crowned BMF title holder Justin Gaethje, as the two had heated exchanges on social media earlier as well.

Conor McGregor has been out of MMA fights since July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier due to a doctor stoppage as he broke his leg during the fight. Since then, he has been under rehab, but in 2023, after his return to the UFC again as a coach in The Ultimate Fighter, speculations of his return in the UFC cage started, and he never denied those. If he wanted to fight Michael Chandler, he would have gone under the USADA doping test procedure, but he is yet to enter the testing procedure, which reflects that this year, an MMA fight featuring Conor McGregor is next to impossible.

Answering a follower’s question on Social media about his opinion on Chandler’s fight, he said

I’ll do it if they want, no prob. I don’t think they want him no more tho,” McGregor claimed. “There’s loads of juicy fights around and my return date is my return date. I never gave a f**k about who it was. Ever. I’ll fight anyone. I’ll even fly them to me, ask malinaggi. Flown in and bet around.
