“Could be the best decision” Jon Jones Replied To Daniel Cormier “Quitter” Comments

Former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier recently said on the Pound4pound podcast that Jon Jones didn’t just retire; he “Quits” fighting. The long-time rival of Jon Jones said that the former light heavyweight champ avoided the then-interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall at all costs and made “Bones” eat his words when they fought each other back at UFC 182 and UFC 217. Jon Jones mocked DC for being older, and now, when Tom Aspinall, who is at an age advantage over Jon Jones, the latter “Quit”.

“Jon quit. It’s true. Call it what it is. Jon quit. Bro, I said this on my YouTube channel when Jon Jones and I were fighting, he says, ‘I will see in the octagon a 38-year-old man while I’m just entering into my prime.’ Those words are now the exact same words that can be spoken to him on the other side. When the words were related to him, he said I’m out. I’m not doing it. That’s why I said he quit.”

After DC’s comments, fans were expecting a reply from the former champ, and when it was asked of him on X by a user about the same, Jon Jones replied with a soft tone.

Just days after Jon Jones and Conor McGregor expressed interest in participating in the White House event, which is expected to take place in 2026.
