“I’m still leaning towards Dricus” Future Middleweight Title Challenger Picked Dricus du Plessis Over Khamzat Chimaev For UFC 319

The UFC middleweight champion, after defending his title twice so far, first against former champion Israel Adesanya and then in a rematch against Sean Strickland, has proved his doubters wrong, but the South African is yet to face one of the most lethal fighters in the UFC roster, Khamzat Chimaev, whom he will fight at UFC 319 main event. Khamzat Chimaev has crossed through every fighter that the UFC threw at him to reach the top of the rankings. Dricus du Plessis stands at (9-0) in the UFC, and Khamzat Chimaev is undefeated in his professional career and (8-0) in the UFC.

The “Borz” is known for his deadly wrestling game which he uses to crush his opponent in the first round of the fight and many opponents of him faced the pressure, the latest victim of the Borz was former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker who was thought to be the toughest challenge for the fighter got finished in the round 1 by the “Borz” to solidify himself as a worthy title challenger and the UFC booked one of the most anticipated title fights of the year where the middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis will defend his title against Chimaev.

Most predictions favor the Borz to come out as a new champion, but the rising middleweight contender Reinier De Ridder picked the South African to spoil the party for Chimaev and hand him his first-ever defeat. While speaking with Submission Radio, the Dutch said this.

“I’m not sure (who wins), I’m still leaning towards Dricus because of the experience I have training with both of the guys. I just don’t see Khamzat finishing him early and I see Dricus building in the third, fourth and fifth rounds, I see him edging it out but we’ll see,”
