Is It Over For Jiri Prochazka After A KO Loss To Alex Pereira At UFC 303?

UFC 303 headliner Light Heavyweight bout between reigning Champion Alex Pereira and the challenger Jiri Prochazka ended in the second round of the fight with a head kick KO by “Poatan.” With the win over Jiri Prochazka, Alex established himself as one of the most lethal fighters ever to enter the Octagon. In his 13 MMA fights, he won 11 and has lost only two so far. It was wild that the guy has won two belts in his brief UFC career and ended some of the greatest fighters in the two divisions. On the one hand, where the KO victory of Alex Pereira made him a real deal, the loss of former light heavyweight champion “BJP” at UFC 303 made him think to work on his techniques or quit fighting altogether.

Jiri Prochazka after his UFC 303 loss posted a story on his Instagram where he said.

Thanks for all your support, thanks to you “Alex”. Only one thing goes to my mind that I need to evolve or don’t fight again.”

Both fighters said yes to the fight on a two-week notice, and Poatan showed everyone that he is not a guy to which you can say yes on short notice. “BJP” fans don’t want him to quit and are looking to see him soon in the Octagon. The former champion still has a chance to come to the top again, but that way will be challenging after that vicious loss. On the other hand, Alex Pereira is thinking of moving to the heavyweight division next to claim another gold, but there is no such official confirmation yet; if he pulls out a victory in a heavyweight title match, he will become the first fighter in the UFC to hold three belts in different divisions.
