There has been a lot of buzz in the MMA world regarding Jon Jones after the fighter hinted at his retirement post-Stipe Miocic fight. MMA fans think Jon Jones is ducking the interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall to secure his 0 losses tag in his professional career. Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones have gone back and forth on social media. In fact, interim champion Tom Aspinall believes that he can beat Jones if a fight happens in the future but Jones thinks otherwise. The retirement tease got more fire when Jones recently took to X and posted multiple statements about joining retired athletes.

“There are fighters literally all over the world that think in the back of their mind I can beat Jon Jones. There will be no statues of you. Go out and win more, make your name greater, that is the only way you do it. “I’m 37 years old now, I’ve kicked everyone’s ass. My job is to finish strong and make an amazing movie. 😘 go join Tom Brady, Floyd Mayweather, and all the other retired bad asses.”

Jon Jones tweeted

He teased fans by tweeting such statements but hinted that he would be willing to fight even after Stipe Miocic if UFC presented him with a great deal.

“It feels good to know on the way out your sport was literally begging you to continue. You never know, maybe the Ufc will offer me a deal I can’t refuse.”

He added

When it was asked from UFC president Dana White about the whole situation, Dana White took the side of Jon Jones, stating that Jones will not retire before fighting Tom Aspinall and there’s no way he is ducking him.
