Former UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is known for his calm nature outside the cage as there are only a few moments he was caught arguing with others. This rare sighting of “The Eagle” engaging with someone in an argument happened recently when Khabib Nurmagomedov boarded a flight, and the viral video showed him having a verbal fight with the flight staff. The row started on the seating arrangements at the emergency exit. Though Khabib Nurmagomedov is decent in speaking and understanding English, the staff thought otherwise and tried relocating the former champ to someone else’s seat.
Khabib resisted the offer, which escalated the situation, and eventually, Khabib Nurmagomedov was escorted off the plane. The infamous incident faced the ire of Khabib fans. They started criticizing Alaska Airlines on social media, but clarifying the situation, “The Eagle” said that it wasn’t Alaska Air staff who treated him like that but Frontier Airlines. Releasing his statement on social media, Khabib revealed that the flight staff had been rude to him since the beginning of the conversation, and the reason behind such attitude towards him is beyond his mind.
“First of all, I need to clarify that it was @FlyFrontier [and] not AlaskaAir. Lady who comes to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning, even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat. What was the base for that, racial, national or other one, I’m not sure.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov said
Khabib didn’t let the situation overpower his calmness as he deboarded the flight after that and picked another one to reach his destination.
But after 2 minutes of conversation, she called security and I was deplaned from this aircraft, after 1,5 hour I boarded another airline one and left to my destination. I did my best to stay calm and respecttul as you can see on the video. But those crew members could do better next time and just be nice with clients.”
He added
