Michael 'Venom' Page Shares A Post After Loss To Ian Garry At UFC 303

UFC’s welterweight fighter Michael ‘Venom’ Page faced his first loss in the UFC at UFC 303 against the undefeated contender Ian “Machado” Garry. The two had a close fight overall, but the ground control of Ian Garry, where MVP struggled a lot, turned the decision in the former’s favor. According to fans, it was a close one, and both fighters looked dominating in their respective games. Michael ‘Venom’ Page took control of Ian Garry on the feet where, and “The Future” fought on the ground during the entire bout. Nonetheless, after nearly a week, MVP shared a motivational post on his Instagram account where he captioned:

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal,”

From his post, it seems like he respected the judge’s decision and accepted his defeat like a warrior. He will be looking to bounce back after making the necessary changes in his fight game.

After his victory against Page, Ian Garry is looking for another challenge. During the post-fight press conference, he mentioned that Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington would fight next, but it looks like undefeated Kazakhstan fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov could be his next opponent.

“You’ve got people like Shavkat, that fight excites me so much,” Garry continued. “Shavkat’s incredibly talented. I’ve got nothing but respect for the guy. I’ve trained with him. I’ve shared the ring with him – it’s purely out of [respect], I don’t want anyone else to beat him before me.”
