There’s one undefeated fighter in the UFC who is not getting the deserved attention from social media and MMA fans. UFC featherweight Movsar Evloev has remained undefeated in his professional MMA career. Since his UFC debut in 2019, the Russian fighter overcame every opponent the UFC threw at him, with his latest victory coming against former Bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling. The only thing that dents Movsar Evloev’s hard work is his decision-win record. In 9 fights of his UFC career, Movsar Evloev got victories on the judges’ scorecard, and that is what makes his record unimpressive as the UFC wants to give fans the knock-out or submission thrill.
Despite the unfair treatment, Evloev is determined to fight anyone who comes in his way to the featherweight gold. After UFC 314, it is likely that the two times featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski will face Evloev but een the4 fighter believes that the UFC will be reluctant to give him a title shot citing his unfinished MMA record. In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, the featherweight contender opened on getting a title shot.
If we ask Volkanovski, he will fight [me] because he is real champion “But we don’t know if UFC need it. I don’t know, maybe [it’s because I have no UFC finishes]. The only thing they can talk is I have no finish.”
Evloev said.
The top contender has a name that he wants to fight first before getting the title shot to eliminate any a doubts from the minds of the fans and the UFC match-makers that he doesn’t deserve a title shot. He called out Yair Rodriguez for a title eliminator bout.
“It was a good fight but I don’t think it’s enough to fight for the title again,” Movsar said. “Because he had chance [to fight before UFC 314] and he just skip it, right? Yair, if you want to fight for title, you have to beat me first. And then you deserve it.”
“Maybe they will give [a title shot] to [Jean Silva], “If they say they have contender that deserve it more than I, then let me test him.”
He added.
