P4P Rankings: Post UFC 309, Jon Jones Climbed Up In The Rankings

UFC 309 delivered some crazy fights. In the main event, Jon Jones defended his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic, winning the bout in the third round via knockout. The body shots played a vital role in getting the win over the 42-year-old veteran, and with the 28th victory of his professional career, Jon Jones once again climbed up the P4P rankings, overtaking Alex Pereira to stand at number 2, just behind lightweight champ Islam Makhachev. In the co-main event, Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler gave the show to the fans, where the former champ once again defeated Chandler with a unanimous decision victory over “Iron.” Oliveira now stands at the 15th spot in the latest rankings.

There is a slight change in the UFC’s Bantamweight rankings, with Marcus McGhee claiming the 14th spot after his victory over Jonathan Martinez. Bantamweight Aiemann Zahabi also improved his rankings by one to stand at number 13th in the UFC bantamweight rankings.

After UFC 309 loss Stipe Miocic announced his retirement from the UFC due to which he is out of the Heavyweight rankings and replaced by Shamil Gaziev at the 15th spot.
