“I just don’t think Izzy’s that good” Sean Strickland On Israel Adesanya

Sean Strickland after his victory

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland never holds himself back in sharing his opinions. This time, he came out with his take on the two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, whom he thinks is overrated and not that good. Sean Strickland fought Israel Adesanya last year at UFC 293, where the “Tarzan” defeated Izzy via unanimous decision. Israel Adesanya, who regained his title at UFC 287 after defeating his arch-rival Alex Pereira, looked bleak in front of Sean Strickland, whose relentless pressure made Israel Adesanya on his heels during the fight. Sean was dethroned by Dricus du Plessis at the UFC 297 via a split decision victory and defended his title successfully against Israel Adesanya at the recently concluded UFC 305.

Sean Strickland has his opinion to share about the former champ who lost 3 of his last 4 fights and here’s what he said by taking the reference of Izzy’s fight with Kelvin Gastelum

“I have an unpopular opinion. You guys aren’t going to like it. I just don’t think Izzy’s that good. So when he fought Kelvin – and I think Kelvin sucks – everyone is like, ‘Oh, Izzy is this and that.’ Dude, I’ve sparred Kelvin so many times. “I’m like, ‘You kind of had a close fight with Kelvin. You’re not that f*cking good.’ Like, you’re not that f*cking good. You fought f*cking (Paulo) Costa, and Costa was scared sh*tless of you. You f*cking blew on him, he fell sleep. Izzy is just not that f*cking good.”
