India’s bowling all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, after becoming the second Indian bowler to cross the 500 wicket mark in cricket, is heading towards the final match of the test series against England at Dharamshala, which is going to start tomorrow, plus he is going to play his 100th test match for India, which is also a great achievement in international cricket. Fans and cricketers are pouring their wishes for the spinner, but former cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan is furious at Ravichandran Ashwin as the latter didn’t give him the reply and picked the former cricketer’s calls when he tried to reach him to congratulate the spinner before going into the 100th test match.
Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, while replying to a tweet that praised Ashwin, criticized Ravichandran Ashwin for ignoring the former cricketer and not replying to his calls.
“Tried calling him a few times to wish him for his 100th Test. Just cut off my call. Sent him a message, no reply. That’s the respect we former cricketers get,”

After the former cricketer’s tweet, fans trolled him for his scathing remarks on Ravichandran Ashwin and reminded him of his old tweets where he questioned the off-spinner’s abilities to spin the ball, accusing him and BCCI of pitch tempering to benefit the bowler’s cricket records.

Clarifying himself, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan said that his earlier tweets were not meant to target Ashwin; they were about a minor correction in his bowling action.
“Respect comes only from cultured people. Btw, I was earlier tweeting about a minor correction in his action and not criticizing him. If only people understood,”
He added
Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t provided an update yet on the issue as the bowler is focusing on his upcoming match where he has the chance to surpass Anil Kumble in terms of fifer in international test cricket. As of now, Ashwin has 35 fifers in test cricket, and if he is able to pull out another one, then it will be a historic feat for the off-spinner.
