India’s best cricket players are assembled to form a 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The leader of the playing XI of team Blue will once again be Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya will play his role as Rohit Sharma’s deputy in the tournament. India’s last T20 World title came 17 years back when MS Dhoni-led youngsters to triumph in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa. Since then, India has been waiting to register its name again in the list of the winners of the T20 World Cup.
For the first time in the history of the T20 World Cup, 20 teams will fight for the T20 title. These 20 teams are divided into four groups, with five teams in each group. In the 8th edition of the biennial tournament, India reached the semi-finals but lost to eventual winners England by 10 wickets.
