Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington faced defeat at UFC Tampa against the rising contender Joaquin Buckley. The former champ was cut on the eyes during the 1st round of the fight, and that led to a doctor stoppage in the final seconds of the 3rd round following defeat, Colby Covington’s chances to get another title run after failing three times to lift the title has now finished whereas Joaquin Buckley after finishing former interim champ raised his stakes to be a worthy title challenger after Shavkat Rakhmonov.
Post UFC Tampa, reigning welterweight champ Belal Muhammad mocked Colby Covington for his loss and saw his prediction about the main event results getting on the spot. Referring to the Jorge Masvidal vs. Covington confrontation at Papi Steak Restaurant, Belal Muhammad posted this on his X account.
