Former UFC two-division champion and one of the most popular athletes worldwide, Conor McGregor, has recently given a big update about his next potential appearance in a combat sports event. Most probably, it will be in a boxing ring instead of a cage, as he is looking forward to fighting Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match. “The Notorious” posted on his X handle about the negotiations he is in with the Ambani family, who has hosted several lavish events in India in the past.

Conor McGregor has been out from the UFC since 2021 after a devastating leg break incident while fighting Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Though he was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 weeks before the event, the Irish MMA fighter pulled out from the fight due to a pinky toe injury. Since then, fans have just heard rumors of his return, but nobody knows when it will happen, nobody knows, and now, with the latest update, it looks like McGregor’s return to the cage will be further delayed.
Conor’s last boxing ring appearance happened in 2017 against Floyd Mayweather, where the latter defeated the former with a 10th-round knockout. On the other hand, after gaining popularity on YouTube, Logan Paul entered the world of combat sports and had boxing matches against KSI, Floyd Mayweather, and Dillon Danis. After that, he appeared in the WWE and was crowned US champion in 2023. An official update from Logan’s side is still awaited.
