Former Interim Welterweight champion Colby Covington, in his recent Twitch stream, brought the old memories back to conversation by poking the reigning heavyweight champ and former light heavyweight champ Jon Jones for the infamous incident with the drug testing agency USADA. As per Chael Sonnen, the incident happened in 2016 when USADA arrived at Wink Gym to test Jon Jones, who was known for his drug testing issues and several times tested positive for consuming drugs and PEDs. To avoid the test, Jon Jones hid under the cage, and when asked by his teammates, everyone refused his whereabouts.
Colby Covington was at UFC PI when he started taking jibes at Jon Jones by saying.
“You know what this boxing ring just reminded me of, guys? We should probably look under it to see if Jon Jones is there. Just like when he hid there from USADA,”
He said
The “Chaos” didn’t stop there and started looking under the cage and continued his rant.
Johnny boy! Johnny, are you here? Are you hiding from USADA? Jon, are you under there? I know you like to hide under rings away from the d–g lords. Are you still faring your steroid test? Well, sorry, guys. I thought Jon Jones would be there. He loves to hide under rings so much. Guy’s a s—–g.”
He added
Jon Jones, after Chael Sonnen’s claims, responded by clarifying that he did hide beneath the cage to avoid NSAC, not USADA, and he was hiding because he smoked Marijuana and was afraid that he would fail the test for weed.
“I was hiding from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, not USADA, and that was years ago. “I had just smoked a bl–t and was afraid I would fail my test for w–d. … That’s the actual truth.”
