Australia vs Pakistan, 3rd T20I: Australia avenge their ODI series loss against Pakistan by clean-sweeping the visitors 3-0.
Pakistan skipper Agha Salman chose to bat first after winning the toss. Sahibzada Farhan and Babar Azam opened the innings for Pakistan, and the start was confident, but Australia’s bowlers were quick to strike as Farhan got out early in the powerplay after scoring 9 runs. Haseebullah Khan and Babar Azam partnered briefly to take the score beyond 50 runs, but Adam Zampa, with the start of his spell, sent back Haseebullah Khan. Babar Azam held his end for a brief and scored 41 runs as no other batter contributed significant runs. Australia bowled out Pakistan for 117 runs in 18.1 overs.
Chasing 118 runs, Australia didn’t start well as Matthew Short got dismissed on 2 runs, followed by Jake Fraser-McGurk, who scored 18 runs. Skipper Josh Inglis and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis took the charge as the latter looked in good touch. Stoinis launched an attack from his end and broke Pakistan’s pace attack with his supreme hitting game. He hit his fifty and remained not out on 61 runs off 27 balls as Australia went on to win the match by 7 wickets.

Australia vs Pakistan, 3rd T20I: Captains’ Corner
“It’s been a great week. We’ve had a lot of fun as a group. It’s been really nice. When Stoinis is going like that, he is really hard to stop. [On moving to Tests] Yes, going to fly down tomorrow and looking forward to that.”
Josh Inglis(Australia Captain) said post-match
“I think in the middle overs, we didn’t capitalise on the start. Lots of positives. The way Usman batted, the way Jahandad bowled. These youngsters will come good. It’s obviously a big achievement winning the ODI series but we could have done much better in the T20Is.”
