India’s Deepti Sharma and Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins were named ICC Women’s and Men’s Player of December 2023. India’s women’s team player Deepti Sharma won her maiden ICC Player of the Month award for her all-round performance against England and the Australian team in the multi-format series. Australia’s world cup-winning captain, Pat Cummins, was named player of the month for his recent bowling performance in the test series against Pakistan, where the hosts swept Pakistan by 3-0.
Pat Cummins and the Australian team had a great 2023, where under the leadership of Pat Cummins, his team lifted the mace of the ICC World Test Championship, defeating India in the finals, then in the months of October and November 2023. The Pat Cummins-led Australian team went on to lift the ODI World Cup title for the sixth time. The team lost their initial two matches of the World Cup 2023 and bounced back solidly to defeat the undefeated team India in the tournament’s final. His cricket tactics got better with time, and in the test series against Pakistan, he pulled off an amazing victory in the second test match, in which he scalped 10 wickets.
Now, Pat Cummins’ team is waiting for the new visitors from the West Indies for two format series.
