Navneet Kaur Celebrates 150 International Caps Milestone in Women’s FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers

Navneet Kaur achieves 150 International Caps, marking a stellar career in Indian women’s hockey.

Hockey India extends heartfelt congratulations to Navneet Kaur for achieving a significant milestone of 150 International Caps during India’s match against New Zealand in the Women’s FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers 2024. The accomplished midfielder’s stellar career has been marked by consistency and crucial contributions to the Indian women’s hockey team.

Hailing from Haryana, Navneet Kaur emerged as a key player, playing a pivotal role in India’s victory at the 9th Women’s Asia Cup in November 2017, where she showcased her scoring prowess with four goals. Her journey includes a bronze medal at the Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup in Germany in 2013 and a silver medal in the 5th Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2018.

Navneet’s versatility as a forward was evident in her participation in the Commonwealth Games 2018 and the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup London 2018. She secured a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang. Notably, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Navneet played a crucial role as a forward, contributing to India’s fourth-place finish.

Continuing her success, Navneet was part of the victorious Indian squad at the FIH Series Finals and the FIH Olympic Qualifiers in 2019. She represented India at the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, clinching a bronze medal, and secured a gold medal at the 2022 Women’s FIH Hockey Nations Cup in Valencia, Spain.

Her recent accomplishments include winning gold at the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy and a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou in October 2023. Expressing her joy, Navneet mentioned, “I am thrilled to be playing my 150th match for India. It has been a surreal journey.”
