Asian Games 2023: Nepal’s Batter Dipendra Singh Airee Breaks The Fastest 50 Record Of Yuvraj Singh, Hits 50 In Just Nine Balls

Dipendra Singh Airee scored fifty in just 9 balls

Asian Games men’s cricket matches have started as the women’s fixtures are over, with Indian women finishing with gold. Now the men’s cricket team matches have started, and the beginning of the men’s matches was something never seen before as Nepal’s cricket team pulled off a spectacular victory over the opposition. Nepal, while batting first, made a record-breaking score of 314 runs in just 20 overs, which is the highest ever scored by any team in a T20I match. Earlier, the record for the highest team score in a T20I was of Afghanistan, which was 278 runs. Now it’s another Asian nation that surpassed the previous record by posting 300+ runs on the scoreboard in just 20 overs.

Nepal not only scored the highest-ever team score in T20I, but Nepal’s batter Dipendra Singh Airee during the match broke the 16-year-old record of the Indian left-handed batter Yuvraj Singh, who scored the fastest fifty in T20 international cricket. It took him only 12 balls to score his half-century, but Dipendra Singh Airee created a milestone by hitting an international T20 fifty in just 9 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee came in the 19th over of the innings and in the remaining balls. He could have thought of scoring a fifty, but he made that impossible thing a reality and scored fifty in just nine balls, which will be a T20I record for eternity as no one could score a fifty in less than nine balls even if he or she hits a six in every ball.

Mongolia, chasing the humongous total of 315 runs, managed to score just 41 runs as the team was bundled out by Nepal’s bowlers in 13.1 overs, registering a victory over Mongolia by 273 runs.
